About EGI Battery

Building cell manufacturing
in America

Most of the cell supply behind American drones, robotics, and other critical systems is manufactured overseas. The engineering isn’t out of reach. The manufacturing capability was simply never built here at scale.

We’re building it here.

At our Zeeb Campus in Ann Arbor, Michigan, we’re building domestic cell manufacturing that begins production in 2027. Today, we supply advanced pouch cells in volume to drone, robotics, electric aviation, and light mobility programs. These are the same cells our Michigan line will build, so a program that qualifies on them now will be able to easily move to a domestic, NDAA-compliant supply without changing the cell.

Our goal is to anchor this capability in the United States by developing a skilled Michigan workforce and a resilient supply chain that strengthens American manufacturing and supports national security priorities.
